Tour 5: Marrakech Desert Express (6 days/5 nights)

Day 1: Marrakech
Arrive at Marrakech Airport and transfer to your hotel or riad. Afternoon half-day city tour including the medina, La Bahia Palace, el Badi Palace, Koutoubia Mosque and Djemaa el Fna Square. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast you leave Marrakech and travel via the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass (2260 m), through the High Atlas Mountains to the UNESCO world heritage village of Ait Benhaddou and the old garrison town of Ouarzazate, now the movie making capitol of Morocco. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Merzouga
Leaving Ouarzazate you visit the beautiful Todra Gorge before continuing on to the desert village of Merzouga situated on the edge of the spectacular Sahara Desert sand dunes, the largest being Erg Chebbi. You have the option of taking a camel trek to a desert oasis in the sand dunes and sleeping overnight in a Berber nomad's tent. Overnight in Merzouga. (Option to overnight in Desert.)

Days 4: Merzouga – Boumalne Dades
You rise early to watch the sunrise over the desert sand dunes. After breakfast you leave for Boumalne Dades via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and the Roses Valley. Overnight in Boumalne Dades.

Day 5: Boumalne Dades – Marrakech
Leaving Boumalne Dades you visit the stunning Dades Gorge with its Berber Kasbahs, fig orchards and unique rock formations before returning to Marrakech. Overnight Marrakech.
Day 6: Marrakech
Morning transfer to Marrakech Airport. Tour ends.
